Speaking Roles

SRT is now casting to fill the following roles for the upcomedy comedy film, "Thunder & Hurricane".

Rufus Pearson-Wheeler Blackwell - (Lead) Male Caucasian, late 20s to early 30s, high school graduate, moderate IQ, gullible, pushover, poor, looking for a way out and up, cousin (but more like a brother) of "Silas."

Sirius "Silas" Blackwell - (Lead) Male Caucasian, late 20s to early 30s, high school graduate (barely), low IQ, easily flustered, cousin of Rufus.

Clay T. "Old Man" Warner - Male Caucasian, late 50s to early 60s, farmer, white fuzzy hair, infamous for his senility, suspects everyone of being an alien.

Ann Marie - Female, any ethnic origin, late teens to early 20s, a waitress at Tropical Treat, moderately flirtatious with her male customers.

Rusty - (Supporting) Male Caucasian, late 20s to early 30s but clearly hanging on to some teenage angst, childhood nemesis of Rufus and Silas, prefers petty crime over the steady 9-5, leader of his gang of hoodlums which only includes Floyd.

Floyd - (Supporting) Male Caucasian, late 20s to early 30s but also clearly hanging on to some teenage angst, has a very distinct high-pitched cackle for a laugh, follower of Rusty.

Henry - Male, any ethnic origin, late 30s to early 40s, has trouble with the English language or has speech impediment, sleazy salesman, looking for a good scam that'll make a quick buck.

Receptionist - Female African American, late 40s, heavy set, wears a lot of makeup and her hair high, very expressive.

Sheriff Irwin - Male Caucasian, late 40s to early 50s, plump, watches "Judge Wapner" religiously, can often be found at the donut shop.

Deputy Ridgely - Male Caucasian, mid 30s, skinny, jittery, works under Sheriff Irwin, devoted to his job, likable.

Mr. Johnson - Male Caucasian, early 40s, circulation manager of the newspaper Rufus & Silas work for, tough, no nonsense, constantly gnawing on a cigar.

Daisy - (Supporting) Female Caucasian, early 20s, recent college graduate, just got her first real job as a reporter for the Idaville Daily newspaper, attractive, takes a quick liking to Silas.

Aunt Hilda - Female Caucasian, mid to late 60s, Rufus and Silas' aunt and landlord, permanently grouchy.

Waiter - Male Caucasian, 30s or 40s waiter at "The Maestro."

Old Woman - Female Caucasian, 70s or older, quite, well mannered, frail yet still able to put on a good licking on any trouble that comes her way.

Joseph "Grease" Delfinni (Mystery Man) - (Supporting) Male Caucasian, late 50s early 60s, evil, a thief, smooth talker, dupes Rufus and Silas into believing that he's a retired super hero. (Ability to speak with a NJ accent a plus)

Little Girl - Female, any ethnic origin, 8 to 10 years old, saddened by the fact that her cat ran up a tree.

Lance Burton - Male, any ethnic origin, mid 40s, effortlessly cheesy news anchor for News 9.

Ted Bruncher - Male, any ethnic origin, mid to late 30s, field reporter for News 9, ambitious, interviews latest robbery victim, Mrs. Johnson.

Mrs. Franklin - Female Caucasian, mid to late 40s, robbery victim being interviewed by News 9's Ted Bruncher, over dramatic.

Child - Male, any ethnic origin, 8-10 years old, interested in Silas' power ring.

Silas, Jr. - Male Caucasian, 4 years old.

Non-Speaking Roles

Waitresses - Female, any ethnic origin, late teens to mid 20s.

Tropical Treat Customers - Female and males, any ethnic origin, all ages.

Grocery Store Shoppers - Female and males, any ethnic origin, all ages.

Neighborhood Children - Boys and girls, any ethnic origin, 8 to 12 yr olds.

Club 2000 Fitness Center Regulars - Males and females, any ethnic origin, 20s to 40s, physically fit.

Piano Player - Male preferred, any ethnic origin, 40s to 50s, plays piano at "The Maestro" (ability to actually play piano a plus).

"The Maestro" Restaurant Patrons - Males and females, any ethnic origin, 20s to 40s.

Bank Tellers and Patrons - Males and females, any ethnic origin, 20s to 40s.
